How to determine the total Film

Thickness

• Align the 0-marking with the beginning of the 1

coating layer

• Count the line markings ( see example )

• Multiply the number of line markings with the appropriate ﬁlm

thickness which equals one line marking ( see tables below )

Example:

Cutter Cutting angle Range 1 line marking

1 45° 0 – 2000 µm 20 µm

2 26.5° 0 – 1000 µm 10 µm

3 5.8° 0 – 200 µm 2 µm

English Scale
